There are a lot of people that blog (or perhaps, journal) on a daily basis.  I am not one of those people.  I have claimed (mostly to myself) that I want to write a book.  I have been making that claim for about 4 or 5 years now.  I even took a “Creative Writing Habits” class.

I am not a very consistent or prolific blogger.  I am an even less consistent writer.  I sometimes wonder if I really want to be a writer or if I just want to tell a story the way I want it to be told?  Maybe, I just want to be a typist.  I do like to type when the words are coming out fast enough to keep my fingers busy.

Sometimes I have to write for work.  That isn’t terrible.  My writing for work is in the vein of instructions or how-to’s for things I work with.  Nothing terribly complicated or long.

All of this rambling is so that I can share a new plan I have.   I have written a number of short beginnings for potential stories.  I am going to continue doing that, and perhaps intersperse some ‘writing prompt’ output.  I think I am going to start posting those on Tuesdays and my other rambling thoughts on Thursdays.  Right now, my Thursday work is scheduled out ‘til the first week of May (2023) and this is the first week of April.

I will have to see how much content I have and see if I can get some of my writing snippets posted.

One day, I hope that there are a few people that find this blog, and comment on the posts.  The goal being for someone to say “Hey, that looks like it would be a good story!  Why don’t you go ahead and write it?”

I am sure that there will be some comments to the effect of ‘you call this writing’, and that is ok.  My daughter writes better than I do, so she is entitled to poke fun at my work, even if she is only 9 (as of this writing).
